The release of the puaf_landa exploit as part of the larger KFD project acted as a catalyst for the creation of several new jailbreak-related tools. Still, Serotonin can truly be called the first iOS 16 jailbreak compatible with modern A12+ devices.
We already have a Palera1 jailbreak for these versions but that jailbreak only works on older devices like the iPhone X. Serotonin works on all modern devices, such as the iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 11, and the latest device models.

Serotonin was released as a TIPA package that can be downloaded and imported into TrollStore 2.
Requirments
- iPhone running 16.0 through 16.6.1.
- Installed the latest version of TrollStore.
- Installed RootHide Boostrap for iOS 16.

How to get serotonin jailbreak online?
You can get the Serotonin jailbreak tool online from the Esign iOS tool. This allows you to sign the Serotonin latest iPA file and install the jailbreak tool to your iOS device.
Step 1- Tap the below button and get the Esign iOS app.
Step 2- Open the Esign application and install the certificate files. If you don’t have the certificates, you can get them from the links below. Please note – if the free certificate is cancelled, please feel free to get the premium certificates at a lower price.

Serotonin jailbreak iOS compatibility
Serotonin jailbreak supports iOS 16.0 up to iOS 16.6.1 and iOS 17.0.
iOS 17 is not supported by Serotonin, even though we have an exploit for it. Installation for now is limited to iOS 16.6.1 and lower.
Serotonin jailbreak supports all modern (A12+) devices. Older (arm64) devices like the iPhone X, iPhone 8, and so on, are not supported for now but they are planned.

Building RootHide Bootstrap from source code
If you don’t have RootHide Bootstrap please follow the steps below to compile it.
Prerequisites: Installing Bootstrap and Serotonin requires TrollStore 2 installed on your device. You also need macOS to build Bootstrap.
- Install Xcode Command Line Utilities by running this command in Terminal: xcode-select –install
- Install/update Theos using this command in terminal: bash -c “$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/roothide/theos/master/bin/install-theos)”
- Run the following command: echo “export THEOS=~/theos” >> ~/.zprofile
- Restart the terminal (exit and open it again).
- After Theos installation is complete, you can build Bootstrap. Follow the below steps for that
- Create a new directory on your desktop using the mkdir command in Terminal:mkdir /Users/YourName/Desktop/RootHide
- Change directory to the newly created directory using the cd command: cd /Users/YourName/Desktop/RootHide
- Download the latest source code from GitHub using this command on the terminal: git clone –recursive https://github.com/roothide/Bootstrap.git
- Change directory to Bootstrap using the cd command: cd /Users/YourName/Desktop/RootHide/Bootstrap/
- With Theos installed, run the gmake command: gmake -j$(sysctl -n hw.ncpu) package
